Solving Auckland’s Traffic Mess
Esther Harward at the Sunday Star-Times asks three “leading international transport gurus and an Auckland expert” where the city needs to go to overcome traffic congestion.

And not one of them suggests building or widening motorways.





No surprise an article like that wouldn’t appear in the NZ Herald. Certainly makes for interesting reading. I’m a big fan of Paul Mees in particular, his studies of Auckland’s transport make quite depressing reading but are certainly interesting and something that I hope Steven Joyce might be taking a look at.
