Freight has not been decided yet. An article I read recently mentions that the Ports have yet to determine whether they wish to use rail to move freight from there, and if they do, a railhead and sidings will need to be created at the port to enable this. Stupid really, it was all there some years ago and they ripped it all up.

Any idea whats planned for the freight side of things. I remember a year or so ago there was talk of container shuttles from Onehunga to the main port, but I guess with all the shipping changes things might have changed since then.
