Why is Public Transport in Auckland so Bad and What Could Fix It?

Julie-Anne Genter is a public transport planner who has worked for McCormick Rankin Cagney for many years. MRCagney are one of Australasia's leading consultancies, specializing in public transport and urban mobility projects. Julie-Ann will give a brief history of transport in Auckland focussin on the economic, regulatory, and land use patterns that have driven our car-dependent development. She will then outline what changes in regulation and development are needed to shift Auckland towards a more sustainable transport system. There will be time for discussion and questions afterward.
